Notice of Meeting of the Municipal Board of Canvassers

At the close of voting on Election Day, pursuant to the provisions of Wis. Stat. § 19.84, the Election Inspectors at each polling place will convene as the Municipal Canvassing Board for the purpose of conducting the local canvass pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 7.51 on Monday, April 13, 2020 at 4:01 PM.  This meeting will be open to the public pursuant to Wis. Stat. §§ 19.81-89 on.

 


Public Notice

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Public Test of the voting equipment to be used at the Town of Ridgeway’s Presidential Preference Primary & Spring Election on April 7th, 2020 will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at the Town Hall, 6300 Town Hall Road, Ridgeway, WI 53582.  All tests are open to the public.


1204-05-72 USH 18 Iowa County – Construction updates

The pavement rehabilitation project continues.  Work in 2020 will perform pavement rehabilitation on USH 18 from Dodgeville to Ridgeway.  Due to the unexpected cold weather last fall, there is some work to finish in the section from Ridgeway to Blue Mounds.

Lane closures on USH 18 are anticipated.  Please slow down and drive with caution through all work zones!

For the week of April 13th, anticipated work from CTH Z to Ridgeway includes:

  • Eastbound –
    • Sawing of concrete
    • Removal of concrete (work will begin at 5am)
    • Pouring of concrete base patching
    • Concrete curing
  • Westbound –
    • Sawing of concrete
    • Later in the week, removal of concrete (work will begin at 5am)
    • Pouring of concrete base patching
    • Concrete curing

Speed limit is reduced to 55mph throughout the work zone.

USH 18/151 Iowa County – Weekly Construction Update for weeks of November 25th and December 2nd


Subject: 1204-05-72 USH 18/151 Iowa County – Weekly Construction Update for weeks of November 25th and December 2nd

A little warm up this past week allowed surface paving to finish Friday evening.  Aggregate shoulder, guard rail, pavement marking and rumble strips remain to be completed over the next few weeks.  Contractors are working today and tomorrow on a few items. 

 For the week of November 25th, anticipated work includes:

 Eastbound Right/driving lanewill close from Pikes Peak to CTH ID for aggregate shoulder and installation of guard rail

  • All traffic lanes will be opened by noon on Wednesday for the Thanksgiving Holiday

 For the week of December 2nd, anticipated work includes:

  • Eastbound Right/driving lane will close from Pikes Peak to CTH ID for aggregate shoulder and installation of guard rail
  • Rumble strips will be installed in the westbound and eastbound direction. This is a moving operation and will be followed by slow moving crash vehicle. 

The speed limit is reduced to 55mph throughout the work zone in the eastbound direction

USH 18/151 Iowa County – Weekly Construction Update for week of November 18th


The snow and cold weather continue to delay work on USH 18.  Contractors have changed the schedule around to perform aggregate shoulder and guard rail and wait for some warmer temperatures to finish paving. 

For the week of November 18th, anticipated work includes:

Work in the eastbound lanes will shift daily depending on the temperatures and what work can be performed:

  • Left/passing lane will close for asphalt paving operations, temporary pavement marking.  This is anticipated Monday through Thursday
  • All traffic lanes will be opened by noon on Friday

NOTE that disruption will occur at side roads and median crossovers/intersections during surface paving.  Traffic looking to cross may be restricted for 10-15 minutes until the roller has passed.

The speed limit is reduced to 55mph throughout the work zone both eastbound and westbound
