NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a quorum of the Ridgeway Town Board will meet at 6PM on WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 12, 2022, at the Barneveld-Brigham Municipal Building Meeting Room located at 407 Business ID in Barneveld, Wisconsin, in a joint meeting with the Village of Barneveld, Town of Brigham, Town of Ridgeway, and Village of Ridgeway.

At the Partisan Primary to be held on August 9, 2022, in the Town of Ridgeway, the following polling place locations will be used for the wards indicated:

Notice of Meeting of the Local Board of Canvassers

At the close of voting on Election Day, pursuant to the provisions of Wis. Stat. § 19.84, the Election Inspectors at each polling place will convene as the Local Canvassing Board for the purpose of conducting the local canvass pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 7.51.  This meeting will be open to the public pursuant to Wis. Stat. §§ 19.81-89.

PUBLIC TEST OF VOTING EQUIPMENT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to the residents of the Town of Ridgeway that the Public Test of the voting equipment to be used in the PARTISAN PRIMARY ELECTION on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, will be conducted at 8:30 AM THURSDAY, AUGUSAT 4th, 2022, at the Ridgeway Town Hall, 6300 Town Hall Road, Ridgeway, WI 53582.  All tests are open to the public.

Type E Notice-Voting by absentee ballet

TOWN OF RIDGEWAY

VOTING BY ABSENTEE BALLOT

Any qualified elector who is unable or unwilling to appear at the polling place on TUESDAY, August 9, 2022, for the PARTISAN PRIMARY ELECTION may submit a request to vote an absentee ballot to their municipal clerk. A qualified elector is any U.S. citizen, who will be 18 years of age or older on Election Day, who has resided in the ward or municipality where he or she wishes to vote for at least 28 consecutive days before the election. The elector must also be registered in order to receive an absentee ballot. Proof of identification must be provided before an absentee ballot may be issued

You must make a request for an absentee ballot in writing or online at MyVote.wi.gov.

Contact the Town of Ridgeway Clerk and request that an application for an absentee ballot be sent to you for the primary election or both. You may also submit a written request in the form of a letter or you may apply for an absentee ballot online at MyVote.wi.gov. Your written request must list your voting address within the municipality where you wish to vote, the address where the absentee ballot should be sent, if different, and your signature. You may make application to the Town of Ridgeway Clerk for an absentee ballot in person, by mail, by fax, by email or at MyVote.wi.gov.

MAKING APPLICATION TO RECEIVE AN ABSENTEE BALLOT BY MAIL

The deadline for making application to receive an absentee ballot by mail is:
5 pm on the fifth day before the election, Thursday, August 5, 2022.

Note: Special absentee voting application provisions apply to electors who are indefinitely confined to home or a care facility, in the military, hospitalized, or serving as a sequestered juror. If this applies to you, contact the Town of Ridgeway Clerk regarding deadlines for requesting and submitting an absentee ballot.

VOTING AN ABSENTEE BALLOT IN PERSON

You may also request and vote an absentee ballot in the clerk’s office or other specified location during the days and hours specified for casting an absentee ballot in person.

First day to vote absentee ballot in the clerk’s office is Tuesday, JULY 26, 2022.

Last day to vote absentee ballot in clerk’s office is Friday, August 5, 2022 @ 5 P.M.

No in-person absentee voting may occur on the day before the election.

The municipal clerk will deliver voted ballots returned on or before Election Day to the proper polling place before the polls close on Tuesday, August 9, 2022. Any ballots received after the polls close will not be counted.
