Contractors have tied up construction on USH 18/151 from Ridgeway to E County Line for 2019. Work will resume in the spring on some cleanup items in the Ridgeway to E County line section, as well as beginning work on the section of roadway between Dodgeville to Ridgeway.
USH 18/151 Iowa County – Weekly Construction Update for week of August 26th
Work continues westbound USH 18, and work began in the eastbound direction this week.
For the week of August 26th, here is the anticipated work:
Work in the westbound lanes includes:
- Right/Driving lane closed from CTH K to Pikes Peak
- Work on the bridge over S. Jones Street. A deck pour is scheduled for Monday.
- Base Patching
Work in the eastbound lanes:
- Left/passing lane closed from Ridgevue/CTH BB/CTH HHH Interchange to Pikes Peak
- Sawing
- Left/passing lane closed from CTH ID to E County Line Monday and Tuesday
- Sawing
Work will suspend at noon on Friday August 30th for the Labor Day weekend, and will resume at 6am on Tuesday September 3rd.
The speed limit is reduced to 55mph throughout the work zone.
