TOWN OF RIDGEWAY REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING October 14, 2009 Board Members Present: Robert Thomas, Rich Strutt, Ken Bartz, Melody Scheckel, Nancy Parkos Others Present: Joe Thomas, Jeanie Anderson, Donny Marten, Orville Stoltz, Rick Terrien Meeting called to order by Robert Thomas at 6:34 PM. Minutes of September 9, 2009 meeting presented & reviewed. Thomas approved as read, no objections. Declared a legal meeting, notice posted at Town Hall, Farmers Savings Bank – Ridgeway Branch, Ridgeway Post Office, Hyde Store & Website. Board members met at 6 PM to discuss the budget. Joe Thomas briefly discussed the fire departments 2010 budget. Board is reviewing the handout. Jeanie Anderson approached the Board regarding the letter sent to Gullickson & a response was not received by the due date. Clerk read an email received from Gullickson on the 13th of October. After discussion & review, Bartz made a motion to send Gullickson a Certified Restricted letter giving them November 2nd thru November 6th to contact the township to meet with fencers through their property. If no response, on Monday, November 9th @ 9 AM the fencers, Andersons & a board member(s) will receive bids from the Andersons land for fence installation on Gullicksons’ land. Orville Stoltz presented the Board with some questions regarding the land he purchase on County Road H. Thomas to accompany Stoltz to Iowa County Zoning for review. Rick Terrien, Iowa County Area Economic Development gave an overview of Smart Growth Plans for Iowa County. Asked Board to budget $2 per resident (581 residents) for 2010 Bob Olson met with Land Use Committee on September 16, 2009 to rezone land. After discussion, Strutt made a motion to return ˝ of the fee paid by Olson, due to misinformation he received from the Zoning Office. Bartz second. Motion carried. Old Business: Bartz presented bids on rekeying locks at town hall. Interchange Meeting to be held November 10th from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Thomas made a motion to purchase a 1 gallon shop vacuum & Strutt seconded. Motion carried. Scheckel presented the Board with a notice from the Humane Society to administer a clinic at the Town Hall in February or March – a convenience to dog owners to get their dog vaccinations for licensing. Next month’s meeting to follow the rescheduled Annual Budget Hearing at 9 AM on Saturday, November 14th. At 8:55 PM Bartz made a motion to adjourn & Strutt second. Motion carried.
