December 8, 2007 Regular Monthly Meeting
TOWN OF RIDGEWAY REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING December 8, 2007 Members Present: Bob Thomas, Tom McGraw, Rich Strutt, Marian Strutt, Melody Scheckel Call to order by Chairman Bob Thomas Minutes of meeting of November 14 presented in writing, reviewed and approved. Declared legal meeting, notice posted at Town Hall, Bank & Post Office. The amended Budget for 2008 was presented in writing and reviewed. Rich Strutt made a motion to approve the 2008 Budget and levy as allowed By the Dept of Revenue in the amount of $335,000.. Motion second by Tom McGraw, motion carried unanimously. Project proposal from Town Web Design, Inc was presented.. the yearly cost As presented by Dustin Overbeck will be $ 310.00 with a one time set up Fee of $800.00. After review motion made to approve hiring Town Web Design To host a website for the Town of Ridgeway - Proposal number 2007-ll-21-A By Rich Strutt, second by Tom McGraw. Motion carried unanimously. Discussion held on the DOT meetings and recommendations presented by Larry Barta and Barbara Feeney. Motion made by Tom McGraw to adopt a Resolution is in favor of the Alternative Plan B - one interchange at HHFI/Hi Point and one interchange west of Ridgevue Road. Motion second by Rich Strutt Motion carried. A Memo of understanding between the County of lowa and the Town of Ridgeway for the Statewide Voter Registration System was presented for Board approval. Town of Ridgeway relies on Iowa County Clerk to perform The Technology Functions of State Voter Registration. After review and discussion, motion by Tom McGraw, second by Rich Strutt to approve the Memo of understanding. Motion carried. Discussion held on the information from U.S. Census Bureau on the new Census to be taken in 2010. No action taken. A 2008 Animal Impound Agreement presented by the Iowa County Humane Society was reviewed and signed by Chairman Robert Thomas. A $500.00 Fee for 2008 was approved. Next meeting will be January 5, 2008, at the Town Hall at 7:30 PM Marian L. Strutt Clerk
