TOWN OF RIDGEWAY REGULAR MONTHLY BOARD MEETING December 11, 2010 Members Present: Robert Thomas, Richard Strutt, Ken Bartz, Melody Scheckel, Nancy Parkos Others Present: Jeanie Anderson, Jim Johnson, Roger Parkos Meeting called to order by Thomas at 9:05 AM Minutes of monthly meeting on November 3, 2010, presented, reviewed & approved as read. Declared a legal meeting, notice posted at Town Hall, Farmers Savings Bank – Ridgeway Branch, Ridgeway Post Office, Hyde Store & Website. Old Business: Jeanie Anderson signed certificate stating she never received payment from Gullickson for replacement of fence. Check issued payable to Jeanie Anderson in the amount of $1,600. Thomas made a motion send a letter to Scott Godfrey approving Bob Olson’s proposed survey proposing Lot 1 to remain R-1 Single Family Residential (current zoning of all of the property) & Lot 2 to be C-1 Conservancy. stating the Town will be having meetings to change density around village. 27% of Town land is in forest crop or owned by DNR & cannot build along highway & land to steep to put house on. Strutt second. Motion carried. Discussion on private work with grader only. Motion made by Bartz to approve use of the grader charged from port to port, apply prevailing state rate, (currently $159 minimum per hour), which changes periodically, must meet Town Road standards, sign a contract & the Board reserves the right to refuse service. This replaces the current moratorium of no private drive work of grader. This will be effective for one year. Strutt second. Motion carried. Discussion on residents picking up buckets of sanding material. A sign to be put up with a lock box for $2 per 5 gallon pail. Bartz to check into the purchase of a surveillance camera. Strutt commented that the Town of Cross Plains is changing town roads with less than two homes back to private drives – another way to reduce taxes. Strutt attended Village Board Meeting regarding Town/Village/Advancement share of bills for Park & it was decided to have a committee to prepare a contract, to have in writing how costs are handled. Caucus will be held January 15, 2011 @ 9 AM. Thomas stated he will not be a candidate.. Discussion on Stray Animal Contract received from Humane Society. Strutt made a motion to accept the 2011 Stray Animal Contract for 2011 services for $525. Thomas second. Motion carried. Bartz approved the transfer of budget family money for 2010. Strutt second. Motion carried. January Monthly Board Meeting to immediately follow caucus at 9 AM. Meeting adjourned at 10:27 AM. Nancy Parkos/Clerk
